9/25/2023 0 Comments New warzone map![]() ![]() In the next couple of weeks, we’ll likely see a reveal of Vondel – if these claims are true. It would need to be something completely different from Al Mazrah for it to be a success, as nobody really wants more of the same. By comparison, Vondel would likely be made up of a close-knit network of canals, streets, and residential areas. Both of these maps are considerably rural – with some built-up areas. Vondel would likely offer up a stark contrast to both Al Mazrah and Ashika Island. As one of the more favoured maps in the history of the series, Rebirth became the preferred format for Warzone players, given the almighty failure of Caldera, brought in to replace Verdansk. Back in the day (well, the relatively recent day), Beenox was responsible for the development of Rebirth Island for Call of Duty: Warzone. ![]() If there’s one thing that fans are excited about, it’s the potential for Vondel to be a smash hit with the Warzone 2.0 community. Presently, there are no visual references to really work with, as when the original Vondel leaks occurred, Activision went on the warpath, issuing DMCA strikes against all comers. Reportedly, Vondel will be ‘bigger than Ashika Island but smaller than Al Mazrah’ – that’s according to CharlieIntel. If battle royale were to be added for Vondel further down the line, it’d be the first time in franchise history that two battle royale maps sit side by side, as there are no expectations that Al Mazrah is going to be removed from Warzone 2.0. On Twitter, CharlieIntel suggested that the map is being developed by Beenox, one of the subsidiaries that work under Activision on the Call of Duty franchise and has done so for several years. Recently, more information emerged, suggesting that this map will support both DMZ and Resurgence before it addresses battle royale, and it’ll be deployed during Season 4, which kicks off on June 14th. What is the Warzone 2.It was only a couple of weeks ago that we covered the leak of Vondel, which will reportedly be an all-new Warzone 2.0 map set in the Netherlands. It was also confirmed that cosmetics will not carry over from Warzone to Warzone 2.0. These circles will then come back together during the final moments, hopefully leading to climactic endings across the board. You’ll become enemies once the Gulag battle is over, but until then, you’ll need to work together to survive.Īctivision also confirmed that multiple circles will appear at the end of a match, splitting off and creating individual battles for players to participate in. After you’re eliminated, you’ll get paired with another random player for the duration of the Gulag engagement. But there will still be individual attachments to earn across other weapons, giving players plenty to work towards.Īnother new addition is the revamped Gulag, which will now consist of 2v2 battles instead of 1v1. For instance, unlocking an Optic for one weapon will give you access to that same Optic on another firearm. This Gunsmith allows players to permanently unlock specific attachments across all weapons at once, eliminating the need to grind as much. Warzone 2.0 will include a new Gunsmith, which is shared across Modern Warfare II. ActivisionĪt this point, it’s still too early to know all the details about Warzone 2.0, but based on statements from many content creators - such as Jackfrags - who participated in a call with Activision, a number of things are in the pipeline. Warzone 2.0 is a brand new take on the popular battle royale game. ![]()
